The Browns did not so much draft Phillip Webb as overpay for him, 126 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

The James pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

The Browns clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Landon Jackson and all.
