The board owed the Bills one, and it paid up: Malaki Starks, the No. 26 name on the board, sitting there at the 62nd pick like a gift left on the doorstep.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Peebles has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
