A sensible, unshowy class lands the 49ers a B.

The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in Eli Cox, taking him 115 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

The Neal value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
