The Browns jumped the board for Walker and paid for it: F. Nobody else had Zykeivous Walker anywhere near pick No. 255. The Browns did, by 243 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Starks pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
