The Bears robbed the room for Golday. Final grade: B-.

Somebody in the Round 3 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Jake Golday, the No. 58 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. The Bears indulged a want in Clark while a need in running back, linebacker and other spots stayed open.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
