They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Phillip Webb, 114 picks early at No. 231.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. With running back and quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on specialist is the choice that costs them. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left running back open, and the grade is the bill.
