The Browns robbed the room for Stewart. Final grade: D+. Call it larceny. Josaiah Stewart sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Browns did not need to be asked twice. The math is unkind, and the D+ follows.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
