The Browns did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Browns did exactly that with Cooper Mays in the Round 6 slot. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Brooks. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
It is not that Mondon Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Browns had louder needs to answer first. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
