The Panthers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. Everything else got attention, and wide receiver got none. That is a strange way for the Panthers to leave a draft.
The Zabel pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
On the needs board they went 1 of 9, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Grey Zabel
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
