Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB TradesA FutureA+
Best value of the weekend goes to the Raiders for Rattler: A-.

When a board-topper like Spencer Rattler slides to Round 4, Pick 12, you do not overthink it, and the Raiders did not.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting Logue proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The Michael Jackson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

In the end it comes back to Amarius Mims, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
In No. 19 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick44 Rnd2 Quinyon Mitchell
Value with a capital V on Quinyon Mitchell in Round 2, Pick 12, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick77 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
They paid sticker price for Johnny Wilson in pick No. 77, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick112 Rnd4 Spencer Rattler
A quarterback of that caliber at the 112th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick114 Rnd4 Khyree Jackson
They let Khyree Jackson come to them and pounced at the 114th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick127 Rnd4 James Williams
No edge and no loss on James Williams in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick150 Rnd5 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen at pick 150 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick164 Rnd5 LaDarius Henderson
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on LaDarius Henderson. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick190 Rnd6 Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall at pick No. 190 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick224 Rnd7 Steele Chambers
They took Steele Chambers at par in pick 224, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick232 Rnd7 Zion Logue
This one needs a full-page explanation: Zion Logue in the 232nd overall pick, miles early. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick234 Rnd7 Maurice Smith
They jumped the gun on Maurice Smith, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
