A sensible, unshowy class lands the Lions a B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Lions never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

They banked enough surplus on Gentry to cover a lot of smaller sins. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
