There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cardinals took Xavier Worthy a full 31 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Abrams-Draine pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Grable.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
