Echoles should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B.

Call it larceny. Will Echoles sat on the board until pick No. 58, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice.

A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want. Luckie has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They went 5 of 6 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

No edge and no loss on Drake Lindsey in No. 133; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
