The board owed the Bills one, and it paid up: Nick Emmanwori, the No. 19 name on the board, sitting there at slot 62 like a gift left on the doorstep.

The cost of the Fidone II reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

The Bills indulged a want in Porter while a need in edge rusher, quarterback and other spots stayed open. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
