The Bears' one glaring miss is edge rusher, a need they left exactly as they found it. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

The Barrett steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Reaching for Johnson left real value on the table behind him.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
