A passer of the future in Williams, and a D-, for the Bears.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will answer for taking TE-EDGE early while interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots went begging.

The cost of the Powers-Johnson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Paul pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
