Bears 24 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

ValueB-
NeedB
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-. Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In slot 1 they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In the 9th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick75
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
Fair-plus on Sedrick Van Pran, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick122
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson in pick 122 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
