The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Baker. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

The Solomon reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Bears had louder needs to answer first.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

If Caleb Williams and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
