Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reaching for Walker left real value on the table behind him. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
