They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop.

However the rest shakes out, Torrence at that price is a win they earned. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

If Smith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

If Caleb Williams and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
