Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a C for the Bears.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Flournoy pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

If Solomon pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. With running back, cornerback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
