Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Dont'e Thornton Jr., the No. 173 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
