They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Reaching for Smith left real value on the table behind him.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Worthy at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
