The Commanders answered their biggest question with Nix. Grade: D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Commanders did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Bo Nix gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Thomas lower, and that gap is the story.

The Magee steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
