The Broncos treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 6, Pick 14 on Taulia Tagovailoa a full 38 spots early.

Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. Franklin at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In short, a weekend the front office will want to forget in a hurry.
