If confidence were a draft strategy, the Broncos would have aced it. Keith Randolph Jr. at the Round 4 slot is 36 spots clear of where he belonged. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Bo Nix is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They will answer for taking cornerback early while linebacker and tight end went begging.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Brown falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
