Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Broncos bet the future on Nix. The board says B-.

The search is over. The Broncos handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Spann-Ford. They are betting Lovett proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Bo Nix
In pick 14 they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick78 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes at pick No. 78 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick114 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Cam Hart slid further than he should have, and slot 114 is lovely value for the cornerback. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick129 Rnd4 Billy Bowman Jr.
Billy Bowman Jr. at No. 129 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick151 Rnd5 Fabien Lovett
Value said wait; Fabien Lovett in the 151st overall pick says they were not listening. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick235 Rnd7 Brevyn Spann-Ford
Brevyn Spann-Ford in Round 7, Pick 15 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick244 Rnd7 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe at the 244th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
