FutureB-
The Browns got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. Somebody took the Browns to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Getting Guyton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Quantity was the play, for better or worse.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick Analysis
Pick55
Rnd2
Tyler Guyton
Tyler Guyton in pick 55 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick67
Rnd3
T'Vondre Sweat
A tidy little value on T'Vondre Sweat in No. 67, a step better than break-even. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick86
Rnd3
Jalen McMillan
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jalen McMillan in the 86th overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick110
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at slot 110 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick122
Rnd4
Isaiah Adams
They paid sticker price for Isaiah Adams in Round 4, Pick 22, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick138
Rnd5
Cedric Gray
Nothing to complain about; Cedric Gray went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick146
Rnd5
Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen in pick No. 146 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick148
Rnd5
Jaylen Wright
They took Jaylen Wright at par in the 148th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick205
Rnd6
De'Corian Clark
They read the board right and De'Corian Clark was the payoff at No. 205. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
