Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall C+
ValueC+ NeedB TradesC+ FutureC
Some hits, some head-scratchers, and a C+ for the Buccaneers.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Buccaneers would have aced it. Jacob Parrish at pick 84 is 41 spots clear of where he belonged.

Landing Dike that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

If Mike Green and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Mike Green
In Round 1, Pick 19 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, though they paid up to get him. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick44 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell in pick 44 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick53 Rnd2 Trey Amos
They took Trey Amos at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick84 Rnd3 Jacob Parrish
A big swing on Jacob Parrish at slot 84, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick158 Rnd5 Jeffrey Bassa
They barely believed it either: Jeffrey Bassa still on the board at pick No. 158. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick237 Rnd7 Chimere Dike
Chimere Dike in No. 237 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
