The Buccaneers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Chimere Dike fell into slot 235.

It is not that Simon is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

They will need Campbell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
