The Buccaneers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Lathan Ransom, the No. 107 name on the board, in the 139th overall pick. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

They will need Campbell to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Buccaneers indulged a want in Simon while a need in interior defensive lineman, offensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
