Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall C+
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB FutureC-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Buccaneers and Hairston: C+.

You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Buccaneers spent the 44th pick on Jihaad Campbell while interior defensive lineman, offensive lineman and other spots sat unaddressed. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

They banked enough surplus on Hairston to cover a lot of smaller sins. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Ezeiruaku proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker at the 19th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick44 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick 44 on Jihaad Campbell with interior defensive lineman, offensive lineman and other spots unsolved.
Pick49 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
A big swing on Donovan Ezeiruaku at slot 49, well ahead of any board in the building. It fills a real need, too.
Pick91 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
They robbed the room for Maxwell Hairston here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick120 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Malachi Moore at No. 120 is the proof. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick136 Rnd4 Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish in Round 4, Pick 35 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick237 Rnd7 Trevor Etienne
Steal is underselling it; Trevor Etienne at the Round 7 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
