You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bears took Thor Griffith at slot 39, roughly 279 spots before his name belonged. A mixed bag that lands at C.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Sanker falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

So much rides on Will Campbell that the real verdict is a season or two away.
