Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Chiefs spent pick 257 on Samuel M'Pemba, a name most had 101 spots down the list. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The Laviska Shenault Jr. pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

The skill positions did well by the weekend. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

If Shamar Easter and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
