Nobody had Christian Jones this high, and it is not close. The Cowboys reached 23 spots to get him at Round 5, Pick 38.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Beebe at that price is a win they earned.

On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
