Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cowboys were there to profit. Myles Jones, the No. 214 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 245. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

They will need Powers-Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
