The Cowboys fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-.

Nobody else had Maurice Smith anywhere near the 203rd overall pick. The Cowboys did, by 33 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The Williams pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, tight end and other spots still on the board.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, JC Latham and all.
