FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Lions, and a B to prove it. For all the boxes ticked, the Lions skipped the loudest one: cornerback is exactly as bare as it was. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
They will need Scourton to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Nic Scourton
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60
Rnd2
Demetrius Knight Jr.
Demetrius Knight Jr. in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jalen Royals
They paid sticker price for Jalen Royals in the 64th overall pick, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
