Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB-
The Seahawks landed square in the muddy middle: C+. It is the swing that defines the weekend: Jared Wilson in Round 2, Pick 20, a good 50 spots before the room expected him. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
If Josh Conerly Jr. and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick Analysis
Pick38
Rnd2
Josh Conerly Jr.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 2, Pick 6 with a little surplus value in Josh Conerly Jr.. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick50
Rnd2
Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at the Round 2 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick52
Rnd2
Jared Wilson
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jared Wilson. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
