The tape said wait; the Bears did not. Drake Nugent went at pick No. 110, a good 38 picks before the board was ready.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Adding Budda Baker by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
