You build a draft on nights like this. Jalen Milroe had no business being available in No. 148, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. Running back was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
