Pierce should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B.

Somebody in slot 145 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while Hollin Pierce, the No. 112 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
