FutureB-
Harris should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B. The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Tre Harris, Round 4, Pick 26, roughly 68 picks past where he belonged. The bottom line is a respectable B.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Mykel Williams
In Round 1, Pick 31 they get a bendy edge with upside, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
A linebacker of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick95
Rnd3
Darien Porter
The board fumbled Darien Porter all the way to pick 95, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick128
Rnd4
Tre Harris
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tre Harris in pick No. 128, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick205
Rnd6
Jarquez Hunter
Jarquez Hunter slipping to the 205th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick245
Rnd7
Jordan Hancock
They will replay Jordan Hancock at No. 245 for years; that is how good the value is. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
