Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Steelers spent Round 6, Pick 9 on Howard Cross III, a name the board had a full 43 spots lower.

Collins falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 1 of 9 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
