Draft Grade — Cardinals

A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Cardinals get a C+. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Cardinals walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
They are betting Harmon proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
So much rides on Derrick Harmon that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In pick No. 16 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, though they paid up to get him.
Pick47
Rnd2
Benjamin Morrison
A clean, defensible pick in the 47th overall pick with a little surplus value in Benjamin Morrison. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick78
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
No edge and no loss on Chris Paul Jr. in pick 78; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
