Draft Grade — Lions
Overall
B-
ValueC-
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Lions. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Lions spent No. 28 on Donovan Ezeiruaku, a name most had 26 spots down the list. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Donovan Ezeiruaku
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get juice off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60
Rnd2
Tre Harris
A straight-up fair deal on Tre Harris at the 60th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick102
Rnd3
Zy Alexander
Nothing to complain about; Zy Alexander went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
