Sanders should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B.

Thirty-one other rooms let T.J. Sanders slide, and the Bears were the ones holding the card at pick 242. Highway robbery.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
