The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Drew Bobo, pick No. 222, roughly 72 picks past where he belonged.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Carter Smith and all.
