Priorities are a choice, and the Steelers made a strange one, taking Kingsley Suamataia at offensive lineman in slot 51 with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots crying out for the pick instead. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Cole proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
