Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks won the night they stopped Emmanwori from sliding. Grade: B.

The Seahawks spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Nick Emmanwori, the No. 20 name on the board, in the 52nd overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Lindenberg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In the 18th pick they get a blindside protector. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
The board had cheaper options than Jayden Higgins at the Round 2 slot, and it noticed. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick52 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Somehow Nick Emmanwori was still sitting there in the 52nd overall pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick82 Rnd3 Gunnar Helm
They liked Gunnar Helm enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 82. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson in No. 92 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick137 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo in Round 4, Pick 35 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick172 Rnd5 CJ West
CJ West at pick No. 172 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick175 Rnd5 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in slot 175 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It fills a real need, too.
Pick223 Rnd7 Robert Longerbeam
Robert Longerbeam at slot 223 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick234 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
They talked themselves into Cody Lindenberg at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
